Terms and Conditions
No application will be considered unless all the following documents are attached with application:
- This form must be submitted three months in advance of the requested date.
- The incorporation papers of the organization’s non-profit status.
- The IRS report of the previous year (990 Form) or Audited Financial Statement.
- Two letters of recommendation from two recognized national non-profit organizations.
Fundraising Using the Khutbah:
- Dar Al Hijrah allows fundraising only after the third Friday Prayer once annually.
Reserving space for fundraising banquet:
- The interior courtyard may be reserved for banquet dinner-style fundraising.
- The all-inclusive pricing includes the following: sound system, tables, chairs, paper ware, and bottled water / soda bottles.
- Standard meal: chicken / beef, rice, salad, vegetable (dessert not included), bread & hummus, tea.
- The cost for the hall with 150 guests (minimum) with standard meal will be $4,000.00
- The cost for the hall with 200 guests with standard meal will be $5,000.00
Collection of donations from Jumah (Friday) or other prayers:
- The collected donations must be made to and deposited into the Dar Al Hijrah Account.
- Dar Al Hijrah will deduct $1,500.00 or 20% of the collected donations which ever is greater for the benefit of Dar Al-Hijrah.
- Dar Al-Hijrah will issue a check written in the name of the organization raising the funds within two weeks from the collection date, after all checks and credit card charges have cleared.
Dar Al Hijrah Policies:
- Organizers and leaders of any organization accept responsibility to ensure that their activities do not violate Dar Al Hijrah’s published vision, mission, and goals.
- Dar Al Hijrah is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-lingual, non-sectarian and diverse community committed to full and equal participation and involvement of men and women who subscribe to accept rules, regulations and procedures while attending Dar Al Hijrah.
- Dar Al Hijrah is committed to civic and civil engagement with communities of other faiths and the society at large.
- Dar Al Hijrah is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service under revenue code 501-C3.
- All funds generated from this event will be solely used for and only for the aforementioned expressed legal purposes.
No fundraising request will be accepted during Ramadan.
In case of violation of any of the above guidelines, the approval granted under this application will be terminated immediately, at the sole discretion of the Executive Committee
