We at Dar Al Hijrah Islamic Center are sorry for your loss and hope to help expedite the burial process for your family and remind ourselves of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)
“مَن شهد الجنازة حتى يُصلَّى عليها فله قيراط، ومَن شهدَها حتى تُدفَنَ فله قيراطان”
“Whoever attends a funeral and attends the prayer will receive a qirat worth of reward and whoever attends the burial, he will receive two.” i.e. one qirat = great mountains worth
