The Dar Al-Hijrah Funeral & Cemetery Fund (DAH-FCF) was established to assist eligible community members in covering the costs associated with the burial of their loved ones.
This fund is restricted to serve only those individuals who are officially registered members of the DAH-FCF and who meet all membership criteria. It does not provide services to non-members or to those whose membership status is inactive or ineligible.
To qualify for membership in the DAH-FCF, an individual must meet the following criteria:
1.1 Residency:
Must be a resident of the DMV area at the time of registration and throughout the duration of the membership.

To ensure the sustainability and proper administration of the DAH-FCF, Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center reserves the following rights:
7.1 Right to Fundraise and Increase Fund Income:
DAH has the right to raise funds from the community and other lawful sources to increase the income of the DAH-FCF, ensuring its long-term sustainability and the ability to serve its members effectively.
7.2 Right to Invest and Manage the Fund Responsibly:
DAH reserves the right to invest the fund's income in low-risk, Sharia-compliant financial vehicles to preserve and responsibly grow the fund, with all investment decisions subject to review and oversight by the Executive Committee.
7.3 Right to Adjust Fees and Coverage Guidelines:
DAH retains the right to revise membership fees, service coverage, and fund policies as needed, based on periodic evaluations, rising costs, and community needs. Any such changes will be communicated in writing to all members in advance.

Once the request is reviewed and approved, Dar Al-Hijrah Administration will coordinate with the approved funeral home and cemetery service providers to carry out the janazah and burial according to the policy.
To ensure fairness, prevent misuse of the fund, and maintain the long-term financial sustainability of the DAH-FCF, the following coverage limits shall apply:
