
Women have been active members of Dar al Hijrah since its inception. However, it has become apparent that they need a separate department to address needs specific to their nature. After several meetings with key members of the community, the following programs are proposed.

It’s an opportunity to be educated, empowered and inspired by the awesome successes of the women in our community. This year, we have partnered with MOMNetwork, LLC to host a powerful group of our local role models as we discuss what it means to ‘live your legacy.’ Join us on November 9th 10AM-6PM at Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center for Motivational Lectures, Real Talk, Modesty Fashion Show, Quranic Recitation, Delicious Food, Short Films by Muslim Women, Beauty and Health tips, Spoken Word and so much more!
The Women’s Leadership Training is a 4-day intensive program for Muslim Women who are activists, community leaders, social justice advocates, interested in civic engagement and all those hungry to make change! We are calling on serious women who want to deepen their understanding of the relationship between Islam and gender justice, Quranic ethics & equity and develop strategies to deepen their toolbox for sacred service.This training incorporates hands-on learning across disciplines and is designed to develop participants holistically. Sessions are taught by dynamic professionals who have years of experience in working collaboratively in their respective fields.
