Dar Al-Hijrah Outreach Department Director Imam Johari, Interfaith and Outreach Liaison Fazia Deen, and Deputy Director of Government Affairs Colin Christopher joined Congressman Don Beyer and other members of Congress to introduce the Freedom of Religion Act at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. Joined by five other Members of Congress and an audience of national level faithbased organizations, immigration advocates, and the press, Congressman Beyer called on all Members to support the bipartisan bill that prohibits the use of religious litmus tests as a means to ban immigrants, refugees, foreign dignitaries, and other international visitors trying to enter the United States. Over 100 national faithbased organizations and more than 70 Members of Congress supported the bill.
